Only frustration is with no resolution to Miller Vanek, though I was more disappointed around the draft with that than today.

In all my years rooting for this team, we've never started from scratch before. Bringing in a bunch of 5mm borderline 2nd liners would have screwed us royally.

I agree with nfph. They needed to do something with Miller and Vanek and failed. We don't need Miller stealing games for us. We don't need Vanek beat up. We need them gone ASAP and put this behind us.

What would it take to get Steve Ott? A 2nd round pick? Leafs should try to get him for the 3rd line winger position. Kulemin Bolland Ott would be SICK.

The only reason I disagree is Ott seems to be one of the few vets around that you actually want your young players to learn from in terms of how hard he competes.

Well, I think the main reason Schneider only got a 1st is that Mike Gillis is pretty bad at his job.

And Ott has a lot of value for this team going forward. I really hope they can keep him around long term.

I was in 7th grade and Drew Bagnall was an on-ice instructor at a hockey camp at St.Lawrence. He's a great guy and I find it funny the Sabres signed him. I bet that he could shoot over 100 mph and he only shot 88, so I had to do laps
